“Music For Strings, Percussion and Celesta”

Composed by Béla Bartók, performed by Berliner Philharmoniker, and conducted by Herbert von Karajan.

Portions of this track are used throughout The Shining. The first section is used in the scene where Danny returns to the apartment for his fire truck, and Jack sits him on his knee to talk. It is also used when Jack stares down at the model of the Hedge Maze in the hotel’s lobby and sees Wendy and Danny walking around the actual maze.

Béla Bartók was a Hungarian composer and pianist during the early 20th century.
